This weekend I went to the Kerrytown Concert House in Ann Arbor Michigan to Sheila Jordan with the Dobbins-Krahnke-Weed Trio.

It is my goal as artist to be authentic. I believe an audience should know me better after listening to me – not just musically, but personally as well. This is exactly what Sheila Jordan does! Her stage presence is sweet, comical and endearing. Her body language, tone, even the candid stories she shares build a momentum of trust for her audience. She drew me in with her sincerity. Even at 83 she is a masterful performer.

She was accompanied by a fantastic trio featuring Sean Dobbins on drums, Kurt Krahnke on bass and Tad Weed on piano.
